A Hyp Basement

i met a-hyppa (andy hyppa) back in 2006 when i was going through half ass motions at tacoma community college. we kicked it a little bit, but nothing too major. definitely one of the only people i ever became homies with from tcc. when soccer season was over, i dipped out of tcc like an idiot. i never really talked to a-hyp for nearly 2 years after that. i went up to the rendevous room/jewelbox theatre a while ago for a wojack/josh rizeberg show, and suprisingly ran into andy in belltown. after chopping it up, i found out he had went to high school with josh rizeberg, and that it really is, a small world. that was the re-start of a-hyp and i kicking it tough. now, he is not only one of my best friends, but is also acting as my "manager", and helping me out with shit.

i live in old town, tacoma. right up the hill from johnnys dock on the waterfront. i had no idea that down the hill, a-hyp lived in this dope waterfront property which soon was turned into one of the coolest "hip hop" basements i have ever been in. with the walls painted by Pubs and Creds, the graffitti added a super nice vibe to the place when you're kicking it in there.

i have spent many days kicking it in this basement. i've walked to the basement. i've ran to the basement. i've laughed in the basement. i've rapped in the basement. i've hated in the basement. i made a gang of new friends in the basement.

anyways, a-hyp is moving out of his house in a couple days and decided to throw a going away party this past weekend. he invited a bunch of people over for one last rager with intentions of jamming the fuck out. here are some pictures that jake (http://jakeofalltrades.blogspot.com) took of the night.
